Produktbeskrivning
The 25pdr was the mainstay of British artillery forces in the desert. Despite its primary role as an artillery piece it quite often found itself in the anti-tank role when the little 2pdr couldn’t hold off the up-armoured Panzers.
The 25pdr Mk 2 quickly entered service with the 8th Army and the rest of the British forces after the loss of most of the 25pdr Mk 1 (18/25pdr) during the evacuation of Dunkirk.
In Flames of War
With Desert Rats you can now field Royal Horse Artillery 25pdrs to support your Armoured Squadron or Motor Company. These guys are Fearless Veterans!
These troops get some great new rules like Crash Action.
Crash Action allows a RHA battery that unlimbers their guns at the start of their movement to fire their 25pdr guns without any penalty to their ROF from movement.
Contains 2 large bases, 2 guns, 2 limbers and 10 crew.
They still cannot fire artillery bombardments in the turn they dismount however, since they still need to survey their position.
Eight-gun batteries and Rounds on the Ground also make the 25pdr quite devastating in the artillery role.
